Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents

​The Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) is the premier representative body of Sri Lanka’s shipping industry, established in 1944 as the Ceylon Shipping Committee. Recognized as the voice of the industry, CASA comprises members who represent all international shipping lines calling at Sri Lankan ports, leveraging the country's strategic location near major global shipping lanes.

CASA members are actively involved in vessel agency, husbanding services, and serve as manning and crewing agents for leading ship owners and managers. Their services extend beyond these core functions, encompassing various other offerings to ship owners and managers operating within Sri Lankan ports and off-port locations.

Beyond operational services, CASA engages in continuous dialogue with government institutions, regulatory bodies, and private sector agencies to advocate for the industry's interests. The association is also committed to shaping the future of maritime services in Sri Lanka by investing in education and training, collaborating with maritime academies to develop skilled seafarers.
